Weaubleau girls basketball will have six total players this season with no freshmen.

“With no newcomers, these girls know what I expect from them,” Weaubleau head coach Sue Ann Ginnings said. “I expect them to continue to work hard and grow as players and teammates.”

The six players are Sophia Weaver (senior guard), Masyn Ashlock (junior guard), Maylaya Carter (sophomore post), Kylie Richards (senior forward), Mara Hilliard (junior guard) and Annabell Reaves (sophomore forward).

Weaver led that group in scoring with 15.3 points per game last season. Ashlock scored 9.1 points per game while leading the team in assists at 2.9 per game with 5.1 rebounds per game. Carter was the top rebounder at 5.4 per game to go with 4.7 points per game.

“With only six players we have be great teammates,” Ginnings said. “Making sure everyone stays in the game and being good defenders will be the key for us to compete.”

Weaubleau opens the regular season Dec. 1-6 at the Warsaw Tournament.
