Glendale was dominant at the Class 3 District 3 golf tournament at Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club on Thursday. The Lady Falcons swept the team and individual titles to advance to the Class 3 state championship tournament.
Page Bowman paced the Lady Falcons with a six-under 66. Bowman played a bogey-free round sinking birdies on Nos. 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 and 18. 3 and 18 were par fives with 18 being a par three. The other three holes were all par four.
Bowman, who was the state champion in Class 4 last season, will look to win the Class 3 state title this season.
Teammate Audrey Duvall was second with a 75. Adein Lackey (8th – 84) and Maylyn Morrissey (15th – 101) rounded out the scoring for Glendale. The Lady Falcons posted a total of 326 to beat runner-up Central’s output of 352. Aden Brown was the fifth golfer for Glendale.
Central also advances to the state tournament. Phoebe Lin (3rd – 77), Hampton Richards (5th – 81), Camilla Lu (7th – 83) and Finley Loethen (25th – 111) were the scoring players. Gentry Goode was the fifth golfer for Central.
Bolivar’s Delaney Daniels (3rd – 77), Branson’s Reese Cornelison (5th – 81), Republic’s Isabella Benson (9th – 87) and McDonald County’s Sammi Dowd (10th – 92) rounded out the top 10 finishers.
Violet Haut (Webb City), Gioia Frick (Marshfield), Lyric Belcher (Carl Junction), Clara Dean (Branson), Rose Reeves (West Plains), Jenna Smith (Republic), Mallory Jones (Marshfield), Olivia Teeter (Carl Junction), Alex Teeter (Carl Junction) and Caitlyn Cribbs (Bolivar) also advanced as individuals to the Class 3 state tournament.
The Class 3 state golf tournament will take place at Rivercut Golf Course in on Oct. 21 & 22.
