No. 1 seed Willard held on to beat unseeded Ava 46-42 to open play in the Blue Division. Daniel Abreu led Willard with 15 points. Ava sophomore Andrew Dalton led all scorers with 21 points. Willard will face Clever in the semifinals tomorrow. Ava plays Hillcrest in the consolation semifinals.
