The Marionville Lady Comets finished up their season with a 68-49 win over Barstow to take third place in Class 2.
It is the second team trophy for the Lady Comets and first third place finish.
The first period was close throughout with Barstow taking a 15-13 lead after one. In the second quarter, Marionville was able to move ahead taking a 26-22 lead at the half.
Marionville made its move in the third quarter building up a 23-point lead at one point in the frame before taking a 49-35 advantage in the final quarter. The Lady Comets led by as many 24 late in the fourth quarter on the way to the victory.
Dally Pomeroy was a force for Marionville with 31 points and 8 rebounds. She shot 13-for-18 from the field and 3-for-6 from three. Lanie Stokes had 16 in the win. Nekalia Young scored 11 to give the Lady Comets three players in double figures.
It was a true defensive effort for Marionville forcing 20 Barstow turnovers that led to 30 points. The Lady Comets also pulled down 21 offensive rebounds.
One of the biggest disparities came in the paint where Marionville scored 44 points to 14 for Barstow.
Marionville finishes the season with a  27-6 record.
