Lockwood’s Asa Lasater and Hadley Abbiatti paced the Lady Tigers past Lamar 66-52 in the Gem City Girls Tournament championship game on Saturday.
Lasater poured in a game-high 25 points while Abbiatti was just behind her with 22 as the duo accounted for 47 of Lockwood 66 points.
The Lady Tigers came out of the gate strong with a 20-point first quarter taking an eight-point advantage into the second quarter. Lamar chipped away at Lockwood’s lead with a 17-15 second quarter to cut the Lockwood lead to six, 35-29, going into the half.

Out of the half, Lockwood’s offense got going again with another 20-point quarter before finishing the game off with an 11-7 advantage in the final frame.
Lasater was consistent through the first three quarters with at least seven points in each quarter. Abbiatti did much of her damage at the free throw line going 14-for-17 from the line.
Lamar was led by Chrislyn Dixon with 19 points.
