Cole Camp girls basketball brings back a more experienced roster from last season’s 8-18 team.
“We gained a lot of experience last year,” Cole Camp head coach Kevin Shearer said. “We are an athletic group with depth.”
The returning players include Payten Brandt (senior guard), Madilynn Ogle (sophomore guard), Kaitlyn Whitworth (senior forward), Maddie Flores (sophomore guard), Alivia Haase (senior forward), Kodi Dieckman (sophomore forward), Kristin Carl (sophomore guard), Lauren Hesse (sophomore guard), Leighton Tinney (junior forward), Leah Allsion (sophomore guard), Rylyn Stoppel (sophomore guard), Marilyn Hesse (senior guard), and Katherine Timoshchuk (senior forward).
Ogle led that group in scoring at 5.8 points per game. Timoshchuk averaged 4.2 points per game. Marilyn Hesse will be out with an injury until district time and her rebounding will be missed. She was the leading returning rebounder with 111 total.
Lilly Mellen is a sophomore guard who will be a newcomer.
Cole Camp opens the regular season Dec. 1-6 at the Warsaw Tournament.
