Exeter boys basketball has a new head coach in Josh Trammell this season. He takes over an Exeter program coming off a two-win season.
Entering the 2025-26 season, the Tigers have good numbers out.
“The numbers and athleticism are very exciting and have us optimistic heading into the season,” Trammell said.
Seniors Ed Lokot, Coby Johnston, Carter Mattingly, Beaux Nicholson, and Jax Brock will all be returning along with juniors Cameron Brattin and Kyler Lupica as well as sophomore Aiden Mena.
Senior exchange student Dominik Palinkos is looking to earn a starting role at guard. Junior Hayden Hernandez along with freshmen Maddox Younger, Gabe Fuller and Payton Beck will all look for varsity minutes.
“Our athleticism and depth will be our biggest strength,” Trammell said. “Our team needs to improve our discipline in games and limit turnovers to be successful.”
Exeter opens the season on Nov. 20 at home against Galena.
“We want to be competitive late in games and be able to compete down our bench in order for us to be competitive this year,” Trammell said.
