Winona senior Lexi Lindsey became the first player in MSHSAA history to break the 4,000 career assist barrier on Friday night at Leopold. The previous state record was 3,920 set by Nixa’s Sydney Golden from 2018-21.

Lindsey had 1,202 assists as a freshman, 686 as a sophomre, 1,112 as a junior and is at 1,000 assists and counting in her senior season. Winona, which is the defending Class 1 state champion, is 32-4 on the season.
