Bolivar girls golf capitalized on home course advantage at the Class 3 District 3 tournament at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar on Thursday. The Liberators shot a 389 as a team to edge runner-up Springfield Central for the team title. Both teams qualified for the Class 3 state tournament taking place Oct. 20-21. It is the first time in program history Bolivar has sent a full girls golf team to state.
Delaney Daniels led Bolivar with a 76, which was good for a runner-up finish. Abilene Anderson was fifth place individually with an 89. Katelyn Berry (15th – 107) and Jarah Anderson (28th – 117) rounded out the scoring for Bolivar.
Central had the top individual finisher in Phoebe Lin with a 75. Camilla Lu shot an 86 to place third for the Bulldogs. Gentry Goode (19th – 111), Finley Loethen (30th – 119) and Ellie Pierson (42nd – 135) also contributed for Central.

Webb City’s Violet Haut shot an 86 to place third and was the only non-Bolivar or Central player to finish in the top five.
McDonald County’s Sammi Dowd (6th – 92), Carl Junction’s Katie Miller (7th – 95), the West Plains duo of Rose Reeves (8th – 97) and Bella Juline (9th – 100), Carl Junction’s Rylie Mayti (10th – 101) and Marshfield’s Gloria Frick (10th – 101) were also in the top 10.
McDonald County’s Raygan Allgood, Carl Junction’s Lyric Belcher and Logan-Rogersville’s Zianna Parkison all shot 105 to tie for 12th.
Logan-Rogersville’s Sophia Ince (15th – 107), West Plains’ Dakotah Brigman (17th – 109) and Webb City’s Brooklyn Cartwright (18th – 110) also qualified for state.
The Class 3 state golf tournament will take place Oct. 20-21 in Joplin at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club.
