At Tuesday’s Republic Cross Country meet, Hollister’s Sinry Mendoza grabbed the win on the boys’ side with a time of 17:50.74. Reeds Spring’s Maxwell Hirschi was runner-up at 18:21.
On the girls’ side, Southwest sophomore Sidney Roe went out early with a big lead, but she was reeled in during the second half of the race by Republic sophomore Brylie Harris, who won on her home turf in 20:59.99. Roe went 21:20.10.
