Sarah Noble takes over as head coach of the Springfield Catholic volleyball program this season. She has spent four years coaching at the club level and five and a half years as an assistant at the junior college level.
“I was attracted to Springfield Catholic because of their values and their supporting nature of their student athletes,” Noble said. “The school really prides itself on making sure everyone has the resources they need to be successful. When coming into a new position like this it’s always nice to know that the school is not only supportive of athletics, but you can tell they legitimately want everyone to know they are cared about and someone is rooting them on.”
She inherits a program coming off a 15-win campaign.
“I think our biggest strength going into this season is that it’s really a fresh start for everyone, and we plan to leverage that,” Noble said. “The team also has an amazing cohesive bond which was very apparent from the beginning, paired with positive attitudes, I am eager to see what they accomplish.”
Noble would like to confidence among her team improve this season.
“Confidence in themselves, as players and young women; I think they all have the skills or potential to develop those skills,” Noble said. “It’s a matter of believing they are capable, and application of their skills when the time comes.”
Springfield Catholic opens the regular season on Aug. 30 at the Branson Tournament.
“This year my overall expectation is to establish a solid foundation of teamwork and cultivate a positive team culture, with the hopes of setting the stage for sustained success ahead,” Noble said.
