Skyline and Morrisville will meet for the second time this season after the top two seeds in the Class 2 District 13 tournament each won on Wednesday.
Skyline, the No. 1 ranked team in Class 2, left no doubt jumping out to a 33-7 lead on Osceola after one quarter on the way to a 73-25 win. Ashlen Garrett led nine different Skyline players who scored with 18 points. Shelby Redd scored 14 points while Ashton Cooley, Kenzi Cheek and Sadie Redd all scored 10 points each to give Skyline five players in double figures.
Morrisville was close with Ash Grove through one quarter with a 12-9 lead before pulling away in the second quarter with a 21-8 advantage in the frame on the way to a 53-39 win. Taylor Blehm led Morrisville with 22 points.
Skyline and Morrisville will play for the Class 2 District 13 championship at 7 pm on Friday at Weaubleau. Skyline won the regular season matchup on Dec. 5 by a score of 84-39.
