Ozarks Lunkers hire Cam Bruffett as inaugural head coach

The Ozarks Lunkers, a founding team of The Arena League, proudly introduce Cam Bruffett as their Head Coach for the highly anticipated 2024 inaugural season.

Bruffett, Parkview High School’s Head Football Coach and Strength and Conditioning Teacher, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the local community.

Bruffett, who excelled at Evangel University on and off the field, offers a versatile skill set honed over years of dedication. His local ties and arena football experience, a former Cleveland Gladiator in the AFL, position him as a key figure in leading The Ozarks Lunkers to success in their inaugural season. Buffett says, “Whether it’s been playing or coaching, football has been a central part of my life for almost 20 years. It’s a dream come true for Springfield to get a pro team and to have the honor of being named the head coach. I am ready to get to work and bring an exciting brand of pro-arena football to the Ozarks.”

Owner Mark Burgess emphasized the significance of Bruffett’s local connection, stating. “Having a coach like Cam Bruffett, who understands our community and has a genuine passion for our region, is invaluable. It strengthens the bond between our team and the people we proudly represent, and we believe this will be a driving force for our success.”

The Ozarks Lunkers will embark on their inaugural season with a thrilling schedule of games, starting with their home opener on June 1st, 2024 at the brand new Wilson Logistics Arena at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
