Marshfield Alum, and former star Drury swimmer, Bailee Nunn has been hired as Marshfield’s Head Swim Coach for both the boys and girls teams.

Nunn had been coaching at the University of Lynchburg. She was hired as the program’s first-ever full-time assistant coach in July 2021

Nunn was a 10-time NCAA Division II individual champion at Drury. She also competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

She finished 31st in the 200-meter individual medley and also competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke events at those trials.

Nunn was named Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s swimmer of the year as a freshman in 2016-17. She then won four individual national titles as a sophomore on her way to the Division II Women’s Swimmer of the Year award. Nunn successfully defended all four of her titles at the 2019 championships. In 2020, Nunn won the 50-yard freestyle and was poised for more before the remainder of the meet was canceled due to the emerging COVID-19 pandemic. The Panthers were the Division II runners-up three times in her career.

Nunn’s coaching experience includes her two years at the University of Lynchburg, three years at Springfield Preparatory School, where she mentored swimmers ages 7-16, and six years as a private instructor and clinician.
