Top-seeded Marionville used a big third quarter to pull away for a district semifinal win over Crane on Thursday.

Marionville, which beat Crane 57-51 in the third place game of its home tournament on Jan. 21, led by just one point, 22-21, at the half.

Out of the break, the Lady Comets were focused on the defensive end holding Crane to just three points in the quarter while scoring 20 of their own to carry a 42-24 lead into the third quarter. That would be enough for Marionville despite a fourth-quarter rally from Crane.
