SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women’s basketball head coach Beth Cunningham announced today that Capria Brown has entered the transfer portal and is parting ways with the Lady Bears program.

“We respect Capria’s decision to enter her name in the transfer portal, and we wish her nothing but the best moving forward,” said Cunningham.

Brown has played in six games for the Lady Bears this season, her first with the program. She averaged 3.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 33.3 percent from the field.

A native of Danville, Ill., Brown played at Dayton for two seasons (2020-22) to begin her college career before transferring to Missouri State for the 2022-23 season.

The Lady Bears (3-4) return home for the first time in a month as they welcome UT Martin to Great Southern Bank Arena on Saturday, Dec. 17. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
