Billings boys basketball has a new head coach in Sean Price this season. Price inherits a team coming off an 11-win season with four seniors returning.

Those four seniors are Cale Plowman, Brayden Garbee, Zach Bos and Jason Sekscinski-Harp.

Plowman led that group in scoring with 16 points per game to go with 7.5 rebounds per game. He was named second-team all-conference. Bos (12 ppg, 9 rpg) and Garbee (11 ppg, 3 rpg) both earned honorable mention all-conference honors. Sekscinski-Harp averaged 5 points, 2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as a junior.

Junior Cameron Clark along with sophomores Dylan Edwards, Collin Moore and Brock Garbee will be newcomers to the varsity lineup.

Price on Clark: “Cameron Clark is a junior who will be a guy we can trust on both ends of the floor to play hard and do the things we ask him to do.”
Price on Edwards: “Dylan Edwards will bring us toughness on the defensive end of the floor. He will be a guy that can step in and give us some good minutes off the bench.”
Price on Moore: “Collin Moore is a good athlete that will give us good minutes off the bench. He is someone that plays hard and is very active on both ends of the floor.”
Price on Garbee: “Brock Garbee could provide some depth for us. He is a smart player who plays hard and is willing to play his role.”

Defense will be the key for success for Billings this season.

“The strength of this year’s team will be our defense and our decision making on offense. We have worked hard at not giving up easy baskets and then on the offensive end taking care of the ball and not taking bad shots,” Price said. “For this team to find success, we will need to understand the importance of the defensive end of the floor and what working hard looks like on a daily basis. We have some talent and have a chance to be successful if we can put it all together every day.”

Billings opens the season Nov. 22 at home against Chadwick.

“The identity of this team will be a hardworking, defensive-minded team that is willing to do anything for our team to win,” Price said.
