Joel Beshore, Lamar Senior

Simply put, Beshore is an absolute football player that just happens to play quarterback. He plays in one of the state’s top rushing attacks, but that couldn’t keep him for passing for 1,537 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,264 yards and 14 touchdowns. Also a standout defensive back, Beshore added 41 tackles and four interceptions. He’s an animal.

Bryant Bull, Marshfield Senior

At 6-foot-4 with great athleticism, Bull might be the best college quarterback prospect on this list. He has a live arm, and the increase in his completion percentage from 58-percent to 67-percent show his growth in decision making. He threw for 2,060 and 14 touchdowns to go along with 609 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground as a junior. Bull is a third-year starter with nearly his entire offensive line and weapons from last year back. Expect more D1s to be in the mix by season’s end.

Luke Calovich, Hollister Senior

Calovich absolutely looks the part. Standing at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds with a big arm and athleticism. He’s as good outside the pocket as he is in it and he’s comfortable under center. His first year as a starter saw him put up 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns with just two interceptions. He’s back with several weapons and a great offensive line, not to mention an expanded grasp of the offense.

Wil Carlton, Marionville Senior

There aren’t many players as experienced or as accomplished on both sides of the ball as Carlton. The senior has won 23 games over the last two seasons as a starting quarterback, passing for 1,762 yards and 22 touchdowns, while rushing for 667 yards and eight touchdowns. He also doubles as one of the Ozarks top defensive backs on the defensive side of the ball and one of its top point guards on the hardwood.

Tyson Elliott, Mountain Grove Senior

Tyson Elliott isn’t just small-school good, he’s legitimately a great high school quarterback. The jump from his sophomore to junior year was nothing short of impressive, with him passing for 1,876 yards and 27 touchdowns while completing 69-percent of his passes. He also threw eight fewer interceptions. Nobody in the Ozarks throws a better deep ball than Tyson Elliott.

Cole Feuerbacher, Glendale Senior

You’re no stranger to seeing Glendale QBs on this list, but Feuerbacher is a little different. Yes he’s a passer (3,088 yards, 35 TDs) but he’s also great with his feet (484 rushing yards, 5 TD). Down the stretch last year, he was even better for the Falcons over his last four games, passing for 1,332 yards and 17 touchdowns and just one interception. His weapons are different, but his production will still be big-time.

Connor Knatcal, Nixa Senior

Knatcal quickly learned last year the plan of throwing it up to Kael Combs leads to success. However, the 6-foot-3 quarterback is much more complete than he is given credit for. As a junior he passed for 1,912 yards and 24 touchdowns, often showing off his arm strength when defensive backs got too close to the line of scrimmage. He has everything around him necessary for a huge senior season.

Kylan Mabins, Kickapoo Junior

His sophomore season saw him put up 1,304 yards and 11 touchdowns with Zaide Lowery being his primary target. This summer, Mabins showed exactly who he is without Lowery, helping Kickapoo become one of the area’s top 7v7 groups. Kickapoo is looking to make a push for an Ozark Conference title and Mabins will be a key piece of the puzzle.

Brock Mooneyham, Ash Grove Senior

To call Mooneyham a dual-threat quarterback doesn’t quite tell the story; he’s the perfect quarterback in the spread offense. He has a big-time arm, he can toss it on the run and he’s an incredible improviser. Think about a Johnny Manziel type. He threw for 1,592 yards with 18 touchdowns while rushing for another 1,367 yards and 21 touchdowns. He could account for 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns this fall.

Bear Shore, Camdenton Senior

He is without a doubt his father’s son. Shore has a big-time arm and high IQ. The 6-foot-3 All-Stater is also mobile and operates well out of the pocket. He threw for 2,588 yards and 24 touchdowns while also rushing for 475 yards and eight more scores as a junior. Expect Shore to go out with a bang in what will likely be his father’s final season at Camdenton.
