Chandler Redmond talks about his home run cycle

Chandler Redmond made Springfield Cardinals history Wednesday by hitting four home runs and driving in 11. His homers came in consecutive innings in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Yet, the most impressive part is that Redmond hit for the “home run cycle” by hitting a solo homer, a two-run homer, a three-run homer, and a grand slam. He’s just the second pro baseball player ever to hit a “home run cycle.”

Incredibly, the last player to do it did so for the Arkansas Travelers in 1998 when the team served as the St. Louis Cardinals Double-A team, just like the Springfield Cardinals do now.
