Nixa native Courtney Frerichs finished 6th in the Women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Track & Field World Championship meet.
She ran 9:10:59 for her season-best time.
Frerichs, the American record-holder in the event, was the top finishing American in Thursday’s race.
She was the Olympic silver medalist at last year’s Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Frerichs also captured silver at the 2017 World Championships in London.
