Springfield Public Schools Athletic Director Josh Scott confirmed to OzarksSportsZone.com that Jack Simpson will take over as head coach of the boys basketball team.
Simpson led Springfield Catholic to a 24-8 record and a fourth place finish in Class 5 this past season.
Simpson is very familiar with SPS and the Ozark Conference as he played for Kickapoo in high school.
He takes over for Landon Cornish who was named Assistant Principal at Bolivar High School.
