Lady Bears Reflect on Up and Down Season

After a back and forth game on Saturday the Lady Bears fell to Ohio State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. That loss marks the end of the road for MSU’s incredible season capped by another visit to March Madness.

This is also the end of the road for five seniors including sixth year senior Brice Calip. In Calip’s six years with Missouri State the team has gone 136-52.

After Saturday’s game Coach Mox and a few seniors reflecting on the journey of this year.

“This is where we wanted to get so we just had to seize the moment, stay in the present and enjoy the journey. They hear me say that a million times enjoy the journey because that’s what it’s all about. We don’t want to look back with regrets, we want to stay present and walk with that confidence that we belong because we do,” Missouri State head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said. 

“It’s just been an experience. It’s been fun, we’ve had our ups and downs but we fought through so much this entire year but this month I feel like it was just have fun honestly,” said Missouri State senior Abi Jackson.

“Honestly, I think year was definitely the most memorable because we’ve gone through a lot and stayed together and we wanted this and we got here and put our name in history once again,” Calip added.

The Lady Bears end the season with a record of 25-8 .
