Josh Barlow & Garrett Snyder, Hollister (Senior & Junior)
The Tigers nearly doubled their win total from (from 10 to 18) and these two were a major reason why. Barlow is a 6-foot-4 big wing that averaged 20 points and seven boards. Snyder is a 6-foot-2 do-it-all guard that averaged 15 points, three rebounds and three assists. Both are also stellar defensively.

Kai Brown, Mt. Vernon (Senior)
The line of Mt. Vernon standout guards is as long as any program in the Ozarks and Kai Brown proved he was up next last year, averaging 15 points and four assists. With Mason Ballay graduated, Brown will create even more offense for himself and others this season.

Andrew Dalton, Ava (Senior)
Arguably Ava’s best player in program history, Dalton has led the Bears to back-to-back district championships with a total of 47 wins. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 22 points and eight boards last year, entering this season with 1,746 career points.

Owen Duddridge & Scottie Osborn, Willow Springs (Seniors)
The change in the program has been the arrival of Mike Wilson coinciding with Duddridge and Osborn entering the program. There have been Duddridge’s making headlines around the area for years and Owen’s 14 PPG make him one of the top scorers in the SCA. Osborn is an undersized, gritty post that averaged 12 points and six boards per game. This is a team with Final Four dreams.

Jaesik Friggle, Aurora (Senior)
He would be a fantasy basketball dream, averaging 21 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists as a junior. The 6-foot guard has over 1,000 career points but he was also the catalyst behind the Dawgs quadrupling their win total from 2020 to 2021.

Mason Gastel, Lamar (Senior)
Gastel has been playing major minutes since his freshman year. The 6-foot-4 lefty has transitioned from playing the point to seeing more time in the paint. He averaged 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds as a junior.

JJ O’Neal, Rogersville (Senior)
O’Neal is another athlete that has made a name for himself playing football and will have college interest in basketball as well. The 6-foot-3 guard is a super athlete that earned a reputation as a defender early in his career, but will be one of the Big 8’s top scorers this season.
