Bradleyville girls basketball will be looking for a ninth consecutive winning season this year with two all-conference players returning.

Seniors Heidi Todd (post/forward) and Maggie Hayes (guard) will be team leaders this year coming off all-conference selections last year.

Todd was named second-team all-conference on the strength of her 10.2 points and 8 rebounds per game as a junior.

“Heidi is the leading scorer and rebounder that is returning. We will rely on her to score more this season and she will be one of our three captains,” Bradleyville head coach Charles Hurst said.

Hayes put up 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on her way to honorable mention all-conference honors last year.

“Maggie was an all-conference player last year and she returns as our second leading scorer,” Hurst said. “We will also rely on her to score more this season. She will also be one of our team captians.”

The third team captain will be senior Zoie Sims. Sims scored 4 points per game while pulling down 5.8 rebounds per game last year.

“Zoie returns as our leading charge taker and ranks near the top in rebounding,” Hurst said.

Junior Desiree Nelson will run the point for Bradleyville. She averaged 2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game in 18 varsity contests last year. Jacquelyn Clemans is a junior guard/forward who can stretch defenses with her shooting and can defend both guards and post players. Sophomore guard Addie Sims also returns with strong defense and brings shooting.

Junior guard Emma Wilson will step up the varsity level after playing junior varsity only last year due to transfer rules. She brings strong shooting.

Harley Guerin (guard), Lexy Matthews (guard), Emma Smith (guard) and Arica Todd (forward) are four freshmen that will help with depth according to Hurst.

Bradleyville will be a fast team this year, but must be better in the half-court on offense.
