ST. LOUIS – Missouri State University has been tabbed as the preseason favorite in the MVC women’s basketball race in the annual survey of the league’s coaches, sports information directors and media. Missouri State received 35 of 40 first-place votes and 362 total points, out-distancing Drake (316, 2 1st place votes) and UNI (298, 3 1st place votes). Illinois State (268), Bradley (209), Valparaiso (208), Loyola Chicago (193), Southern Illinois (161), Indiana State (102) and Evansville (83) round out the poll.
