Former Willard Tiger football standout, Forrest Merrill, has made the initial 53-man roster for the Los Angeles Chargers.
The 6’1″ 320-pound defensive lineman graduated from Willard High School in 2015 and signed with Missouri State out of high school.
Merrill left Missouri State for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M before eventually playing at Arkansas State.
In three years with the Red Wolves, Merrill produced 117 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks.
He signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in May.
