Evangel men’s basketball sophomore Cade Coffman highlighted a trio of award winners Tuesday as he was named All-Heart First Team.
Coffman led Evangel in scoring at 16.7 points per game and was 8th in the Heart Conference. He was also in the top 10 in field goal percentage and free throw percentage. The Mountain Grove, Mo., native also ranked in the top 20 in three-point percentage and rebounding at 6.0 boards per game.
Joining Coffman was senior Clark Brewington and junior Nate Davis as the duo earned Honorable Mention honors. Brewington led the Heart in three-point field goal percentage and was third knocking down 88 three-pointers. Davis finished in the top 10 in the Heart with 4.0 assists per game and was the Crusader’s second-leading scorer at 13.6 points per game.
Evangel enters the Heart of America Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament as the No. 8 seed and will travel to No. 1 seed William Penn on Thursday. Tipoff from Oskaloosa, Iowa is scheduled for 6 p.m.
