The Logan-Rogersville School District is excited to announce that Mark Talbert has been selected as the new High School Head Football Coach beginning with the 2018-2019 season. Current coach Doug Smith announced his retirement in December.

Coach Talbert has spent the last eight years in the Fair Grove School District, where he served as the defensive coordinator. During his time at Fair Grove, he helped lead the team to several undefeated seasons and many broken defensive school records. Prior to his tenure at Fair Grove, he held positions in Bolivar and Rolla. Talbert played football at Southwest Baptist University, where he was a four-year starter and a two-year all MIAA player.

Talbert is looking forward to joining the Logan-Rogersville Football family: “I have been blessed to work in an amazing place in Fair Grove for the last eight years. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that I have been given during my time here and have worked with some really great people…Fair Grove will always be a special place for me but I could not be more excited to get the chance to be the head football coach for the Logan Rogersville Wildcats! I look forward to building upon the foundation that Coach Smith has left behind and I am ready to get to work.”
