POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – A Justin Washington basket was waved off by the officials as time expired handing Evangel a 75-74 loss to College of the Ozarks Tuesday night in non-conference action.

Evangel erased a 23-point first half deficit pulling within 42-39 at the half.

Washington helped the Crusaders climb back in behind a game-high 22 points and 17 rebounds. Braden Adams added 19 points for Evangel had three players finish in double figures with Chandler Lyon adding 14 points.

Evangel returns home for its first action of the season inside the Ashcroft Center against John Brown. Tipoff on Saturday is scheduled for 8 p.m.
