LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas put together a dominant performance against Florida A&M Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium, rushing for 236 yards while holding the Rattlers to 7 points in a 49-7 win.

Sophomore running back Devwah Whaley began Arkansas’ scoring late in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown to give the Razorbacks a 7-0 lead. Whaley tallied 60 yards on the ground in his first career start in which he only played the first half.

Austin Allen’s first touchdown of the 2017 campaign came in the second quarter on a 16-yard pass to sophomore Deon Stewart. It was Stewart’s first start of his career and his first career touchdown.
Allen finished the night 14-of-19 with 135 yards.

Graduate transfer running back David Williams went untouched to give Arkansas a 21-point lead before halftime with this 4-yard touchdown run. It was the first of two scores for Williams, who finished with 23 yards on the ground. It’s the second time Williams has had a multi-touchdown game in his career.

Outside linebacker Gabe Richardson forced a fumble to start the second half in his career defensive snap as a Razorback and senior defensive back Henre’ Toliver was there for the 18-yard scoop and score to make it 28-0 in favor of Arkansas.
