Now Presenting The 2017 Uniform Of The Year Bracket Champion

2017-uni-bracket-final

After a pretty unbelievable 37,886 votes over the past two weeks, including 10,935 votes in the championship, you have crowned 12-seed Rogersville Baseball as the 2017 Uniform of the Year!

Rogersville won a pretty wild back-and-forth title match over 5-seed Willow Springs Softball, pulling away late Monday after trailing by nearly 1,000 votes at one point for a 6,372-4,563 win and claiming a 1 Award in the process.

This was your championship matchup:

This was the original description for the winning uniform:

“These Rogersville baseball uniforms are one-of-a-kind. Start with the oversized olde-time “R” in the middle of the chest, then look at the the thick maroon stripe bookended by a pair of grey horizontal stripes (also on the sleeves).”

The Wildcats took out 5-seed Neosho Wrestling, 4-seed Walnut Grove Basketball, 9-seed West Plains Softball, 10-seed Waynesville Softball, 2-seed Plato Baseball and 5-seed Willow Springs Softball to get here. I loved the passion from both the Rogersville and Willow Springs communities, who clearly both really wanted this title. Over the course of the tournament, Rogersville Baseball finished with 8,573 votes. Willow Springs Softball finishes with 7,545. Pretty good!

We hope to either have another Uniform of the Year bracket next year. Or come up with something new! I’m definitely open to suggestions on this from all of you out there.
