SPRINGFIELD – The 12th ranked Drury Panthers stayed unbeaten with a 92-72 win over Missouri S&T in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game on Saturday at the O’Reilly Family Event Center.

The Panthers moved to 8-0 and 3-0 in the GLVC while the Miners lost for just the second time this season and dropped to 7-2 and 1-2 in the league.

Drury had a 42-33 halftime lead but Missouri S&T pulled within five, 55-50, early in the second half. The Panthers then outscored the Miners 28-7 over the next 10 minutes to lead by as much as 26.

“We did a better job on the boards in the second half and we executed our offense well for the whole game,” said Drury head coach Steve Hesser. “We got some easy baskets in the second half and Tevin (Foster) made some shots. It was good to have Drew Moore back and he gave us some hustle plays.”

Foster led all scorers with 21 points and the junior from Lawton, Oklahoma topped the 20-point barrier for a fourth straight game. Foster hit 8 of his 14 shots from the field and was 5 for 9 from three-point range. John Williams added 16 points on 6 of 7 shooting as five Drury players were in double-figures.

Drew Moore saw action for the first time this season returning from an injury. The St. Charles native who was a starter for the Panthers last season had four points and two rebounds in eight minutes.

Jalen Myers and Rokas Paulauskas had 12 points each to lead the Miners.

Drury shot 55 percent from the field hitting 37 of 67 shots. They held Missouri S&T to 40 percent shooting from the floor as the Miners went 26 for 65.

The Panthers play outside of the O’Reilly Family Event Center for the first time this season in their next game. Drury takes on Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (central time) in the Lynn University Classic in Boca Raton, Florida.
