Mizzou moves up in polls





Springfield, Mo. (OzarksSportsZone.com)  -- The Missouri Tigers are starting to get the national respect they have craved. After not being No. 25 before the Georgia game two weeks ago, the Tigers are now in the top five in both the Associated Press Poll and the Coaches Poll.

Mizzou sits at No. 5 in the AP Poll. Alabama is the only other SEC team in the Top 10 at No. 1. Auburn,LSU and Texas A&M are Nos. 11, 13 and 14. Saturday's opponent South Carolina sits at No. 20. No other SEC teams are ranked by the AP.

The coaches have Mizzou two spots lower at No. 7, while Alabama continues to hold down the No. 1 spot and be the only other SEC top 10 team. LSU is tied for 13th, Texas A&M is 15th and Auburn is 17th in the coaches poll. South Carolina sits at No. 20 in this poll as well.
