Seventh statewide football rankings released





The media has released its seventh statewide football poll.

Kickapoo is up one spot to No. 6 in Class 5, while Nixa and Camdenton stay at Nos. 8 and 10 respectively.

Webb City and Bolivar are still Nos. 1 and 2 in Class 4. Carl Junction is up two spots to No. 6 after beating Lamar. Hillcrest slipped to No. 10 after suffering a loss to Kickapoo.

Reeds Spring continues its climb in Class 3, as the Wolves are up to No. 4 this week.

SW Missouri now can claim all of the top 4 teams in Class 2. MV/BT Liberty makes its first appearance at No. 1 after knocking off then No. 3 Mountain Grove last week. The Panthers are No. 4 after the loss to the Eagles. Lamar fell to Class 4 No. 6 Carl Junction on a last-second hook-and-lateral and is sent to No. 2 this week as a result. Strafford is up to No. 3. Ash Grove also appears in the Class 2 poll at No. 10.

Thayer (No. 8) and Skyline (No. 10) are the only ranked squads in Class 1.
