A. Blake Alexander - Strafford -- CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT BLAKE
 
Alexander was the best hurdler in the Ozarks in 2013, and he was the only Southwest Missouri athlete to bring home two gold medals from the State Track meet in any class for either gender. He won both the Class 2 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles by almost a second in each case. He also finished sixth in the triple jump to secure his third state medal. The Strafford stand-out finished with SW Missouri's top time in both hurdle events, the fourth-best long jump and 14th-best triple jump in 2013 regardless of class. -- CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS OF STATE TRACK


B. Chris Mooneyham - Glendale-- CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT CHRIS.

Mooneyham, a stand-out Cross Country runner committed to the University of Missouri, won the Class 4 3200-meter championship in dramatic fashion by storming back in the last 100 meters to win in a time of 9:06.86. The finish was the fastest 3200 meter run for any class at state and was the best 3200-meter time in Southwest Missouri by 42 seconds. On the first day of the Class 4 State Track meet, he finished fifth in the 1600 in a time of 4:16.20, which was the second-best time in the Ozarks in 2013.

C. Garrett Metscher - Republic -- CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GARRETT.

Metscher was one of the best jumpers in the area as he posted top-three marks in all three jumps highlighted by the Ozarks' best high jump of 6'7.5. That leap was good enough for a school record and a Class 4 State Championship in Jefferson City. He finished with the fifth-best long jump and ninth-best triple jump in Southwest Missouri.

D. Shane Williams - Mt. Vernon -- CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SHANE

The battle for best jumper in the Ozarks it squarely between Williams and Metscher. Williams brought home three medals from the Class 3 State Track meet highlighted by his gold medal performance in the long jump. He finished third in the
triple jump and tied for fifth in the high jump at State. Regionally, he was second in the Ozarks in the long jump, tied for fourth in the high jump and seventh in the triple jump. -- CLICK HERE FOR PHOTOS OF STATE TRACK
