Poll: Who was this season's girls basketball MVP?



SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- With the high school basketball season officially coming to an end this weekend we reflect on the top moments and players.  This week's poll question focuses on the ladies, who brought home a pair of state championships to the Ozarks; Crane and Walnut Grove.  Hundreds of players made an impact on their respective team success.  So we're asking you the fans, "Who was this season's girls basketball MVP?"  Make your vote, spread the word and we will announce the results on the O-Zone Show Saturday night, 11:00 on KSPR and 10:30 pm Sunday on KY3.  Voting ends Saturday at 5:00 pm.

Madisen Brethower led Skyline to a class 2 3rd place finish in just her sophomore season, averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Aubrey Buckley is garnering division-1 interest after leading Parkview to the class 5 district 12 championship.  The junior put up 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists per game.
 
Andi Haney became West Plains' all-time leading scorer this season, surpassing the 2,000 point mark.  Signed to Harding University, Haney scored 23 points per game while pulling down 7 boards a contest and 6 assists.  The Lady Zizzers reached the class 5 sectionals, finishing 27-2.
 
Heather Harman not only racked up 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists per game, but she also hit the game winning free throw to lock up the class 1 state championship.  The junior is also receiving division-1 interest, including an offer from Southeast Missouri State.

Alice Heinzler was one of the most prolific scorers in the COC Large, scoring 19 points per game for the defending state champs, adding 3 steals a game.  Heinzler hit a big shot late in the district championship, a game they eventually fell on a buzzer-beater by West Plains.

Maddie Hursh set the state record with 149 3-pointers in a season.  Her 21 points per game led Chadwick to a class 1 3rd place finish.  Hursh is on track to break Addy Roller's career 3-point record next season.

Morgan Kensinger was one of the most dominant interior players in the Ozarks.  The Evangel volleyball signee led Fair Grove to a district championshp win over Fair Grove before falling to Ash Grove in the class 3 sectionals.  She averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks per game.

Cailyn Long is just a sophomore and is already among the top players in the area.  Long poured in 21 points 8 rebounds and 3 steals per game for the 19-8 Sparta Lady Trojans.

Maggie McMenamy was the lone senior for the class 2 state champ Crane ladies.  In addition to her leadership role, McMenamy averaged a team leading 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.

Jeana Raper came on strong at the right time for the Nixa girls leading the Lady Eagles to the class 5 quarterfinals before falling to defending state champ Rock Bridge.  The senior averaged 15 points per game, while connecting on a school record 92 3-pointers.
