C of O men pull upset at national tournament

College of the Ozarks (22-12) entered this year's NAIA-II national tournament unseeded, but should hardly be considered an underdog on their home floor.  The Bobcats used a 17-3 2nd half run to beat 3-seed Northwood, FL (30-4) 57-49, advancing to round two.

C of O trailed by nine at the break, but stormed back to pull the upset.  Forsyth native Nathane Simniok led the way with 20 points.  Branson native Mike Wiebe chipped in with 14 points.

The Bobcats have Thursday off before facing Southern Oregon on Friday at 7:30 pm.  The championship game is Tuesday March 12th at Keeter Gym.
