Panthers Roll To Sixth Straight Win

Liberty, Mo. -- Drury broke open a tight game right after halftime and cruised to a 72-55 victory over William Jewell in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Thursday night for the Panthers sixth consecutive victory.

Drury moved to 14-4 overall and 8-2 in the GLVC West with the victory, as Teddy Simniok paced five Panthers in double-figures with 15 points.
Alex Hall added 14 points, Cameron Adams had 13 points off the bench and Drake Patterson finished with 10 points for the Panthers, who led just 34-31 at halftime but broke it open with an early second-half run.

Drury was leading 37-36 with 17 minutes to go before going on a 13-2 run over the next five minutes to grab a 50-38 lead.

From there, the Panthers were never threatened, pushing the advantage to 20 points (65-45) on Lonnie Boga's layup with under six minutes to go.

The Panthers claimed a 29-19 rebounding advantage, with Adams grabbing a team-high six boards and Patterson adding five.

Andrew Schofield had 14 points to pace William Jewell (8-10, 4-6).
Drury is back home on Saturday to host Rockhurst in a 5:15 p.m. start. It's the annual "Overflow The O'" game, with $5 general admission tickets available that make the holder eligible for the "All-Access Pack" of all concert and event tickets for the next year. DU fans are encouraged to wear red on "Red Out Day."
