Katie Pritchard added 11 points and Kalea Parks had 10 points and six rebounds off the bench to lead the Lady Panthers, who improved to 8-6 overall and 2-4 in the GLVC with their first home league victory.
Illinois-Springfield fell to 4-9, 1-4.
Funderburk added a team-high eight rebounds - matching her season high - as Drury claimed a 46-26 domination on the boards, with Abby Bracker adding seven for a Lady Panthers team that won a game that statistically for either team, wasn't pretty.
"We were able to grind one out, and our domination on the boards was the difference," Drury coach Steve Harold said. "I thought our defense was good, and we really disrupted their offense. When they put it up in the air, we went and got it, and that's crucial against a team like that."
Drury committed 23 turnovers and had only 11 assists while shooting 38 percent for the game, including just 26 percent (6 of 23) in the second half.
But the Prairie Stars made just 31 percent for the game (17 of 55), including just 8 of 30 (27 percent) in the second half. The teams combined to hit just 4 of 29 3-pointers, 2 of 13 for the Lady Panthers.
Drury helped its cause with a 17-for-23 effort at the free-throw line.
Parks was a definite bright spot, hitting 3 of 4 shots and 4 of 6 free throws to match her career high of 10 points, set against Lewis at The O' on January 3.
"I think Kalea grew up a lot today," Harold said.
It was also the home debut for sophomore point guard Consuelo Owens, who played 12 minutes and had two rebounds.
"We've got to keep giving her minutes and see if she can't get some things done," Harold said.
The Lady Panthers are back home on Saturday with a 1 p.m. GLVC tipoff against West rival Quincy on "Great Southern Throwback Day."
