Evangel Rolls past Graceland





Evangel shot 57 percent from the floor and hit 17 three-pointers in an 86-54 win over Graceland Saturday at the Ashcroft Center. Evangel hit 28 of 49 shots during the game and connected on 15 of 25 attempts in the second half alone. The Crusaders hit 11 three’s in the second half alone as they outscored the Yellowjackets 51-36 in the second half.

Jayme Donnelly led Evangel with 15 points hitting five three-pointers while Korry Tillery had 14 points and 5 rebounds in 11 minutes of playing time. Brodie Wingert added 13 and Zack Kleine had 10 for Evangel.  Jamal Lawson had 12 points to lead Graceland.

Evangel improved to 11-4 and 4-1 in the Heart of America conference. The Yellowjackets lost their fourth straight and fell to 4-12 and 1-4.
Evangel is at home again on Thursday as the Crusaders face Avila. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.
