Falcons dominant at all city meet

Glendale swimmers soared above the rest of the teams, placing first in all 11 events. Kickapoo, Glendale’s cross town rival, finished second with 299 points.

Glendale’s swim coach Steve Boyce was pleased with the results.

“I was proud of my girls and the support they gave to each other tonight. We came into this meet with one goal, to go after every event full force and knock out existing meet records. I told them they had the opportunity to win, and they took it,” said Boyce.

The pool proved fast for Glendale, whose swimmers broke three meet records. Macie Beairs set a new meet record in the 200 Yard Freestyle, with a time of 1:56.35. Nikki Sisson topped the old meet record in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 25.03. Glendale’s relay team broke the record in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:40.95.

“I have an amazing group of girls. We will swim well in the meet. We did well in St Louis last weekend and will continue to swim hard over the break. Glendale is a strong team for us to face,” said Kickapoo coach Pete Hill.

The next major meet is the Ozark Invitational on Jan. 5th at the Foster Natatorium in Springfield.
