O-Zone Prep Spotlight: James Denton, MV-BT/Liberty Basketball

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. - There has been no shortage of success in Eagle Country of late as Mountain View-Birch Tree/Liberty High School has stormed the South Central Association in both football and boys basketball.  A big reason for that success is junior James Denton, in this week's O-Zone Prep Spotlight.  The Eagles' WR/DB helped lead Liberty to the class 2 state quarterfinals this season.  The 5'10" guard also returns for his second season starting for the basketball team.  The 3-sport star will then wrap up his junior season on the track team.

James' honors include 1st team All-SCA, 1st team All-District, and 2nd team All-State in football.  He was a 2nd team All-District guard as a sophomore in basketball.  On the track, he was All-SCA and All-District in the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4 and triple jump.  James qualified for state in the first three events.
