Evangel forward Zack Kleine had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the Crusaders. The performance was Kleine’s fourth double-double of his Evangel career. Stephen Cotten led the Crusaders with 17 points.
Kalvin Lewis led Missouri Baptist with 20 points.
Evangel owned a 40-22 rebound advantage in the game and shot 55 percent from the field connecting on 28 of 51 shots and 10 of their 20 three-point attempts.
Last Saturday, Evangel won at Missouri Baptist 79-61.
The win raised Evangel’s record to 4-1 as they won both games in the event co-hosted by Baptist Bible College. Missouri Baptist split the two games in Springfield and fell to 2-3.
Evangel plays next Friday in the Oklahoma Wesleyan Classic. The Crusaders take on MidAmerica Christian (Okla.) at 4 p.m. on Friday in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
