Evangel breaks into NAIA Coaches Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Evangel University football team is nationally ranked for the first time this season as they are placed at 21st in this week’s NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll.

The Crusaders (4-2, 3-1) are in the top 25 for the first time since Sept. 26 of last year when they appeared at #25 in the poll. Evangel’s 21st nationally ranking is the highest spot they have had in the poll since they were ranked 6th in the 2006 preseason and it is the program’s highest in-season rating since 2005 when they were ranked 10th on Nov. 13, 2005.
