FAIR GROVE, Mo. -- It may have been raining steadily throughout the game, but the wet conditions didn't slow down the Skyline Tigers, especially Logan Bryan.  The senior Wide receiver/ running back scored 3 touchdowns including a 90 yard run in the 1st quarter on the way to a 45-7 victory for Skyline.

"My line does everything for me," said Bryan talking about the 90 yard run.  "My center Adam Kingston had a great seal and I cut it back, Tyler Curts had a great block on the outside and after that it was to the house."

Tigers quarterback Dalyn Trippe got the scoring started with a 3 yard touchdown run on a keeper.  Trippe added a 67 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter and completed a 10 yard scoring pass to Colton Coffey before halftime. The Tigers led 31-0 at halftime.

The win gives Skyline bragging rights over Mid Lakes Conference rival Fair Grove (1-1),

"Fair Grove has been the class of the conference the last 4 years," said Brandon Shelby, Skyline Head Coach.  "They've been 37-3 over the last 3 years. They are a great program and it was just a good win for us, they're a class bunch at Fair Grove but we just played really well tonight."

Skyline (2-0) expected to play in the wet conditions and took advantage of key turnovers by Fair Grove in the 1st half.

"All week this week we had a bucket of water dunking the ball in it, “said Bryan.  "We knew it was going to be a wet and rainy day. We came out and left no doubt and didn't let them do anything on offense."

Skyline tries to stay undefeated hosting Stockton September 7th.  Fair Grove hosts Pleasant Hope in week 3.
