Strafford spoils Skyline's Courtwarming

Urbana, Mo. (For  -- Friday night’s game between the Strafford Indians, and the Skyline Tigers was on the verge of becoming a blowout, with the Tigers trailing by 15 points at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers fought back to take the lead in the fourth period, but the Indians took home the victory 82-67.

Tiger’s junior Drew Flagg hit four 3-pointers in the second quarter to bring his team within four points off the lead with 1:43 left in the half. “Flagg can put up points quick,” said Skyline Coach Buck Shockley. “He has done it all year for us.”

Flagg was Skyline's leading scorer with 17. Skyline also got solid contributions from Jordan Edge, and Trey West with 12 points each.

Solid defense in the third period led the way for Skyline to mount their comeback. The Tigers tied the game up 54-54 with 58 seconds to go in the period. With 3.2 seconds left in the period Strafford’s Kyle Foley hit a layup to regain the lead, 56-54. The Tigers held Strafford to 23 percent shooting in the quarter.
