Aurora advanced to Quarterfinal action with a 61-55 win over Webb City Wednesday night.  Play was even in the first half, with the Cardinals taking a 27-25 lead into the locker room.  Aurora went down early in the third quarter, but came back to take a lead into the fourth, which they never relinquished.

Ryan Carmichael led the Dogs with 21 points, including a trio of threes.  Chase Howerton had 15.

The Republic girls fell behind early in their contest and could never gain an advantage over a Webb City team made up of almost all underclassmen.  Sophomore Kaitlin Jaeger was nearly unstoppable in the paint, leading the Cards with 32 points.  Alexis Edwards contributed 17 points for Republic.  Webb City won the game 74-62 and advances to the Quarterfinal game Saturday at MSU.
