O-Zone Prep Spotlight: Lexi Harman, Walnut Grove Basketball

WALNUT GROVE, MO - The O-Zone Prep Spotlight returns for the winter season with a look at one of the top girls basketball players in the Ozarks.  Walnut Grove junior Lexi Harman is back and at full strengh following a knee injury she delt with last season.

The 5-8 guard is considered a lock down defender for the Lady Tigers.  She earned 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Conference, MBCA All-State, All-Tournament Team-Walnut Grove Holiday Classic, and ALL-Tournament Team-Seymour Tournament last season while averaging 11 points, 4.5 steals, 5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last season.

Lexi is also a standout softball player for the Lady Tigers.  Her other hobbies include FCCLA, FCA, FFA, Science Club, Student Council, and National Honors Society.
"In my free time I like watching Duck Dynasty, going tanning, and hanging out with my friends."

FAVORITE MOVIE - Bridesmaids, but Pitch Perfect is a close second.

FAVORITE FOOD - Fettuccini Alfredo, but also love mashed potatoes

FAVORITE ACTOR - Will Ferrell (he's so funny!)

FAVORITE TEAM - St. Louis Cardinals

Lexi plans to attend college following high school where she would like to become a physical therapist or physicians assistant.

"I've wanted to be a physical therapist ever since I tore my ACL and went through all the rehab.  I also think I would like being a physicians assistant.  I haven't really made up my mind yet."

Before that however Lexi would like nothing more than to win a state championship in both softball and basketball.

Don't wear sandals around this girl.  It turns out that is one of her pet peaves.

"I absolutely hate feet!  They are disgusting."

Lexi, her all-state cousin Heather and the rest of the Lady Tigers are currently ranked number one in the state in class one.  Up next, they will host Greenfield December 4th.
