Missouri State football picked to finish eighth



The Missouri State football team has been picked to finish eighth out of 10 teams in the preseason Missouri Valley Football Conference preseason poll. Missouri State returns 17 starters and 41 lettermen from last season's 3-8 team. The 123 total points in the poll are the second-highest total since 1993, and the eighth place predicted finish is the highest since 2010 when the Bears were tabbed fifth.

North Dakota State, the two-time defending national champion, was selected as the unanimous No. 1. The complete poll is below.
