The OzarksSportsZone team will compile the area's top 10 teams each week of the season. The rankings are based on dominance by class.
(Last week in parenthesis)
1. Webb City (1) - The top ranked Cardinals racked up 479 yards in Friday's 48-7 win over Republic. The question is no longer are they the best in class 4, but rather are they the best in the state overall? It also begs, are they the best John Roderique coached Cardinals team? This week should be interesting to see how Nixa hangs with the defending state champs.
2. Cassville (3) - The Wildcats move up a spot this week, but only by default. The Wildcats had one of their closest calls in recent memory, escaping with an 18-14 win at Seneca. Let's see if that proves a wakeup call this week against Carl Junction. One of our staff members is calling for the upset.

3. Skyline (4) - The Tigers picked up a 57-14 win over Pleasant Hope Friday night, and in doing so got some PT for their up and comers on the JV squad. Logan Bryan and Dalyn Trippe led the way on homecoming night. Up next, a trip to non-conference Appleton City.
4. Strafford (5) - The Indians celebrated the schools 100th year with a 63-0 homecoming trouncing of Stockton. Junior Jacob Wade accounted for 4 touchdowns on the ground and another 2 through the air. The Indians go for 5-0 this week at Pleasant Hope.
5. Lebanon (6) - These power rankings are very much about dominance, and the Lebanon Yellow Jackets have brushed off their class 5 counterparts like they're standing still so far. The Jackets blanked Glendale 49-0 Friday night, improving to 4-0. Something's got to give this week as Lebanon visits fellow unbeaten Hillcrest in the KSPR Game of the Week.
6. Ozark (7) - You talk about dominance! Ozark is the highest scoring team in Southwest Missouri with 239 points through the first 4 games (59.75 ppg). The Tigers bowled over Carthage 65-26 last week. Willard will have its hands full this week when the red Tigers come calling.
7. MV-BT/Liberty (2) - The Eagles were shocked on Friday night, 27-26 at Ava after missing a 2-point conversion in the final seconds. We won't penalize the class 2 Eagles too much, considering Ava is a solid class 3 school, but they better get back on track this week, and it won't be easy against Mountain Grove.
8. Miller (8) - Miller took down "a girl's best friend" AKA Diamond 39-6 last week. The Cardinals have barely been tested so far this season, but should get a good run the next 2 weeks, hosting Lockwood (KY3 Game of the Week) before visiting Pierce City.
9. Hillcrest (9) - We didn't hear much from Hillcrest's 20-0 win at West Plains last week, and that's probably how they want it. The Hornets learned how to win the last 2 seasons, and now they just don't seem to want to lose. Buckle up for a great one in the OC this week as "the Hill" plays host to undefeated Lebanon.
10. Nixa (10) - The Eagles celebrated their homecoming with a 28-0 win over Willard. While Ozark has the area's top offense, rival Nixa has shown the best defense so far, allowing just 9 points. Keep an eye on running back Alec Murphy this week against Neosho. The sophomore scored on 2 long touchdown runs and seems to get better every week.
Knocking on the door: Mountain Grove, Ash Grove, Sarcoxie, Parkview, Salem
